Single Review: The Saw Doctors – ‘Indian Summer’
2 min read
Irish songwriting collective The Saw Doctors have this week released thier latest offering titled Indian Summer. The track, which is taken from the bands seventh studio album The Further Adventures Of The Saw Doctors, is a fine slice of witty, musical delight as the bands effortless delivery of atmospheric indie is displayed in all its glory here with a track described lyrically as “a song to commemorate the romanticism of traveling down the spectacularly beautiful West Coast of Clare” and with a beautiful instrumentation to match.
The track is a catchy addition to the the bands already lengthy repertoire. The tracks melody is a light and fluffy affair with a filling backdrop of strings and a typically Irish rhythm driven by front man Davy Carton’s thick, accented vocals that provide a beefy structure to the new single.
The track is released on 11th July and will see the band taking to the road to promote their forthcoming album release, one that will not disappoint if Indian Summer is anything to go by.
