Single Review: Encore – ‘Tit For Tat’
2 min readEncore return with the latest single to be taken from the hip hop/pop trios upcoming debut release.
The urban outfit have recently completed a successful round of sold out support slots for Jessie J and fellow grime juggernauts N-Dubz throughout the UK and Ireland. Both tours have undoubtedly helped the band gain an impressive following and has also given them a platform into the UK’s music mainstream.
Tit For Tat follows the bands earlier release The One and sees the lads taking their electro-Hip Hop flavors one step further with a catchy addition to the increasingly marketable genre. The track strides along with a grinding synth backbone as each of the Encore members, Pierre Joseph, Cairo Woodword and Mark Asari spit out quick delivered rhyming and a fantastic closing rap section that could challenge the best in urban hip hop.
Tit For Tat sees Encore taking their signature ‘Encore Blend’ to new extremes and track also comes hand in hand with an impressive video which stars Fazer from N-Dubz and Made In Chelsea’s Funda Onal and follows the outfit in a futuristic city with some outstanding special effect work.
