NYC-based pop singer/songwriter Jason Sager has emerged with his new single Sunshine – a catchy ray of warmth that should give East Coast listeners some of that long-gone summer feeling.
Channeling contemporary artists like Jason Mraz, Sam Smith, and even Bruno Mars, Sager’s songwriting ability truly shines through in the new track. Sunshine will be featured on his upcoming 6-song EP Panoramic View, to be released digitally on November 13th. Melody was what lured Sager from his theory and composition studies at Princeton and NYU into the pop realm. “Even when I was writing classical works, I kept using pop melodies because that’s what my ear wanted,” he explains. “It just took me a while to realize that.”
