Single Review: Mark Ronson And Katy B – ‘Anywhere In The World’

2 min read

UK super producer Mark Ronson has paired up once again with one of the UK’s brightest vocalists for the latest single for the Valerie hit maker and one that comes hand in hand with some of the biggest promotional pushes that his career has seen. Anywhere In The World is the combo’s joint project and Coca Cola have commissioned the track for the pair as the soundtrack single for the global brand as brands soundtrack in support of the London 2012 Olympics.

MarkRonsonKatyBWith Ronson having worked with the likes of Adele and Lily Allen in the past as well as having been a fundamental player in the career of Amy Winehouse, Katy B would have seemed a less likely contender to join forces with the producer given her dub-step/dance roots however Anywhere In The World proves to be a grandeur yet mid-tempo and optimistic release for both Mark and Katy and the perfect score to be cast over the forthcoming sports event.

Coca Cola set out to find an act who could deliver a memorable and credible number for the brand and they seem to have hit the jackpot here with both producer and vocalist shining through on the number brighter than they have in some time and proving that ventures into less chartered genres can be a fruitful foray.
