Josh Kumra unveils his debut single this month titled Helicopters and Planes. Having already found success alongside Tottenham rapper Wretch 32 as co-writer and vocalist of the hip hop stars number one single Don’t Go, Kumra has been given a taste of success and will no doubt be hoping to hit the same heights with his own solo debut which is out today.
Helicopters and Planes pulls together a catchy and memorable melody built up of soulful vocal lickings courtesy of Kumra’s distinctive, urban textures over some complimenting piano tinkering and a instrumentally dark backdrop. Helicopters and Planes is both poetically charming and haunting at the same time and comes hand in hand with a well delivered and tight rap solo offered up by rising hip hop maestro K Koke.
