Single Review: One Direction – ‘You and I’
1 min readPrepare yourselves…One Direction have released their latest single, You and I, from their third studio album Midnight Memories released in 2013. You and I is a moving acoustic piece from the superstars, a very mature feeling sound with emotive lyrics. The single has been released as a bundle and there is plenty for fans to look forward to with band member Liam releasing his first ever remix, dubbed the ‘Big Payno’, as one of a few alternate versions.
You and I is a love ballad from the English-Irish boy band and is sure to get hearts pumping; its dominant acoustic guitar and sweet melody is easy listening bliss for the 1D fan masses. Adding further fuel to the hit, the music video accompanying the track is also pretty cool, featuring all five of the lads appearing as one single person, through interchanging heads, as they stroll down a wharf pouring their hearts out.
You and I was written by Julien Bunetta, Jamie Scot and John Ryan, who previously teamed up with the band for Story of my Life. The track is an enjoyable listen for all those love-crazed 1D’ers out there. These guys just continue to demonstrate their dynamic musical agility…and that is why we love them!
