Single Review: Little Mix – ‘Black Magic’1 min read
UK pop sweethearts Little Mix are back with their new single Black Magic, our first little taster of what’s to be expected from the group’s eagerly awaited third album due out later this year. It seems the world can’t get enough of these girls, and the new single sounds promising: what can be made of it?
Not unexpected yet welcomed, Black Magic opens with a confident beat and a sassy intro. Little Mix are in control here. What makes up the enchanting properties of this track is the undeniably familiar chemistry we’ve heard in the girls’ previous work and just the overall feel good vibe it presents: it’s generic pop with a snappy melody and a neat call and response bridge. Take a sip from this ‘secret potion’ and you will find that this brew is somewhat addictive.
Did we expect anything less or more from Little Mix? Black Magic will have their mountains of fans drooling and radio listeners fawning: the girls give the track a likeable personality and it’s not too much to handle. It’s fun and catchy, and there’s no need to over analyse it. Little Mix continue to release pop magic.
