Single Review: Gorgon City – ‘Go All Night’ (feat. Jennifer Hudson)

2 min read

Gorgon City have been making people dance ever since they formed back in early 2012. The duo consisting of wobbly bass heavyweights Foamo (Kye Gibbon) and RackNRuin (Matt Robson-Scott) first burst onto the scene as Gorgon City with their first release titled The Crypt EP. The three track EP definitely raised a few eyebrows and since then the duo have continued to bring us some of that deep bassline goodness.

Go All Night - Gorgon CityLast month the two North Londoners released their debut album Sirens, the album reached number 10 on the UK Albums Chart and is home to their latest single Go All Night which features American artist Jennifer Hudson. Go All Night is the fifth single from their debut album and it definitely continues that groovy deep house sound which we hear from the other releases from the album such as Real and Ready For Your Love.

Lending vocals on this wicked party tune is American artist Jennifer Hudson, the talented singer/actor/spokeswoman adds her soulful vocals to help create what has become a dance floor favourite. Her powerful presence and soothing vocals combine with the tracks funky bassline to produce a sound that is reminiscent of 90’s house, similar to artists such as Robin S or Ce Ce Peniston.

Overall it’s another impressive track from the two bassline maestro’s, be sure to keep your ears peeled for any future releases from these guys. In the meantime enjoy the funky vibes of Go All Night and check out their debut album Sirens, you won’t be disappointed.
