Single Review: Patrick Plunkett – ‘Attracting Attention’

Attracting Attention is the fantastic new single for singer songwriter Patrick Plunkett taken from the musicians forthcoming EP of the same name.
Equipped with some sturdy guitar skills and an impressive voice to match the track is a welcoming addition to the soulful pop rock genre and sees the Parisian’s efforts being pieced together within a track that is as effortlessly catchy as it is well crafted and faultless.
The song begins with a deep drum intro before Plunkett’s jazz laced vocals take hold to offer us a number brimming with beautifully arranged harmonies and soulful vocal confessions. Four minutes of semi-balladry at its best and a fantastic introduction to a musician that we are are excited to hear a lot more from if Attracting Attention is anything to go by.
The track plays lead single from the soon to be released EP which serves as the musicians more mature and cultivated follow up to the 2007 EP release New Beginnings and comes hand in hand with a number of successful recent London appearances.
