News: Paolo Nutini Announces North America Tour

2 min read

(U.S) Paolo Nutini has announced his upcoming North American headline tour. The eagerly awaited dates – which celebrate the Scottish soul singer/songwriter’s extraordinary new album, “Caustic Love” – begin September 15th at Toronto’s Sound Academy and then continue through the end of the month (see attached itinerary). Highlights include two nights in New York City, with a show at Terminal 5 on September 22nd and Nutini’s first-ever headline performance at New York City’s world famous Apollo Theater, set for September 23rd.

Already a phenomenon worldwide, “Caustic Love” arrives in the U.S. on September 16th.  “Caustic Love” debuted at #1 on the UK Album Chart upon its April release and remained the chart topper for three consecutive weeks. In addition, the album has ruled the iTunes Store’s “Top Albums” chart in a stunning range of countries, with #1 sales in 9 countries including the UK, Ireland, Italy, as well as top 3 success in New Zealand, Germany, and 19 other countries.

Nutini is currently marking the popularity of “Caustic Love” by performing UK and European headline concerts and such renowned international festivals as T In The Park, Glastonbury Festival, San Francisco’s Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival and Austin City Limits Music Festival. Nutini – who recently rocked New York City with a sold out show at Webster Hall – has also sold out an intimate live appearance at Los Angeles’ legendary Troubadour in mere minutes, which is slated for Friday, August 8th.

Nutini is scheduled to appear on a number of high profile TV appearances, including CBS Saturday Morning (set to air Saturday, July 12th), ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! (August 28th) and NBC’s TODAY show (September 17th). The performances follow recent visits to NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers and VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live.

Produced by Nutini and Dani Castelar (Snow Patrol, R.E.M.), “Caustic Love” pushes at the boundaries of modern pop to create something soulful, funky, and distinctly original. Songs such as “Scream (Funk My Life Up)” showcase the gifted tunesmith’s mastery of memorable melody and insightful lyric, all given brilliant life by Paolo’s gritty and impressive vocal range. Other highlights include “One Day,” which The Sun declared “the most infectious song Nutini has made” to date and “Better Man,” that Esquire called a “slow burning charmer.”  Indeed, “Caustic Love” has earned Nutini the most glowing accolades of his already acclaimed career.
