Single Review: Kesha – ‘Your Love Is My Drug’
2 min read
I have to say that I don’t call myself a Kesha fan. Her songs for me have been songs that encourage me to change radio stations or just turn the stereo off altogether. Though saying that I have never felt entirely guilty of doing that as I am a ‘bearded man’ so the feeling would be mutual I guess.
I was a little surprised however when I found myself tapping along to her new single Love Is My Drug, her latest single taken from the singers debut album Animal.
This is a track about obsession. Obsessing over a guy and labeling him as a drug and throwing an alternative dirty pop melody over the top and calling it her next hit single. It’s electo fueled pop with a glistening of indie thrown into the mix.
Following in the footsteps of her previous hits TiK ToK and Blah Blah Blah, Your Love Is My Drug is currently climbing the charts of the US and is set to be another monster single over here in the UK.
