2 min readLondon nightclub chain G-A-Y has released a massive 3-disc compilation of pop hits to celebrate their 20th anniversary. The album is a must have for anyone with an affinity for pop music, featuring over 50 current and classic pop tracks and remixes.
The first CD opens with an extended remix of pop Goddess Madonna’s 2005 Hung Up before featuring remixes of Adele’s Rolling in the Deep, Lady Gaga’s Poker Face, Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe and The Pussycat Dolls’ Don’t Cha to name a few. The CD isn’t exclusively full of female pop stars though, featuring superstar Justin Timberlake with his hit SexyBack and the song that launched boy band One Direction’s success, What Makes You Beautiful. Other artists on this CD include P!nk, Jessie J, Olly Murs and Britney Spears.
CD 2 opens with the dirty version of Icona Pop’s huge hit I Love It and plays several other recent hits including Little Mix’s Wings and Calvin Harris’ Sweet Nothing with Florence Welch. A few classic hits star on this CD including a remix of the famous My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion and Jennifer Lopez’s Waiting for Tonight. McFly make an appearance with Shine A Light, as does Christina Aguilera with Beautiful and Iggy Azalea with Bounce. The second CD is finished off with the glitter loving party princess Ke$ha and We R Who We R.
The third and final CD is full of more nostalgic and classic pop anthems, beginning with Kylie Minogue’s Better the Devil You Know and ending with Dolly Parton’s classic 9 to 5. In between these two hits are party staples such as Cher’s Believe, Sophie Ellis Bextor’s Murder on the Dancefloor and Wham!’s Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go. This CD also features some classic groups like The Spice Girls with Spice Up Your Life and S Club 7 with S Club Party.
The G-A-Y compilation is full of current and nostalgic pop anthems and is the ultimate pop music collection. It is full of almost every pop hit you could think of and features some exclusive remixes to give the album some extra edge.
