Single Review: Sub Focus – ‘Turn It Around’ (feat. Kele)

UK electronic music producer Sub Focus is back with another party anthem – and this time he’s teamed up with Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke to bring it to us.
The new single Turn It Around is a happy go lucky, drum and bass track with a catchy electronic hook. It actually sounds a lot like if Avicii did drum&bass. It builds from verses of Okereke’s mellow tones into a drop with those repetitive and addictive electronic notes acting as the chorus. It’s super fun to party too – which lucky UK fans get to experience in the coming months when Sub Focus goes on tour.
Sub Focus or Nick Douwma started in underground drum&bass and is now a major player in electronic music. He played at this year’s Glastonbury and has become recognized for his live shows, which feature audio reactive circular LED technology.
Turn It Around is a follow up to Sub Focus’ recent hit Endorphins featuring British singer-songwriter Alex Clare. Both these tracks will appear on Sub Focus’ second studio album Torus set to be released in the coming months. It’s been four years since his first album self-titled Sub Focus and Torus will cover a variety of genres and feature many awesome vocal guests including Alpines, MNEK and Foxes.
