Single Review: Olly Murs & Louisa Johnson – ‘Unpredictable’

The UK’s reigning X Factor champion, Louisa Johnson, teamed up with fellow X Factor alumni Olly Murs on, what can only be described as the most adorable song of the summer, Unpredictable.
The Danish DJ, song writer and remixer, Cutfather, served as producer on the track with writing credits going to Kara DioGuardi (who has written for such names as Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears and Kelly Clarkson), amongst others. The track initially featured on Olly’s fifth studio album, 24Hrs (2016), and has now been released as a single in its own right in 2017.
Unpredictable is a charming little number, with its funky bass line groove and snappy lyrical licks. It encourages a funtastic sing a long time! Louisa and Olly’s- “Lolly”, if you will- complimentary vocals create a great balance while singing about the up’s and down’s of a relationship with the ultimate hook being “I like us when we’re unpredictable, Cause that’s why love is so phenomenal”. Lolly delivers a little sweetness in Unpredictable.
