Single Review: Professor Green – ‘Monster’
2 min read
Professor Green is preparing for the release of the next single to be taken from the enormous album release Alive Till I’m Dead, and the single, due for release on Monday October 4th, is a pure Monster of a follow up to previous smash singles Need You Tonight and Good To Be Green.
Monster is the next branch from the success tree for Professor Green as the Hackney born rapper continues to take the hip-hop world by storm.
This time Green combines lyrical twists and one of the most memorable chorus’ heard on the parent record Alive Till I’m Dead. Not content with delivering the lines in solo style he borrows the distinctive rhyming of fellow music man Example to give the song the final push that it needs to stand strong as the next big single for Green.
Previous singles Good To Be Green and Need You Tonight have already made the rapper steady progress in developing his own signature sound and helped propel the musician into the world of chart success and critical acclaim but, unlike these previous singles which borrowed heavily from the sampling of past hits, Monster is an original hip hop smash that is likely to further cement Green’s status as one of hip hops most tangible creations.
