News: Mighty Hoopla Announces 2024 Line-Up

Following a monumentally successful sold-out 2023 festival, today – 14th November – Mighty Hoopla announces its phenomenal line-up for 2024!

Since its inauguration in 2017, Mighty Hoopla has become THE pop moment in the festival calendar – an unmissable celebration of queer joy, vibrant acceptance and liberation for all – soundtracked by the very best in pop, dance, arts and so much more. 2024’s Mighty Hoopla will take place on Saturday 1st June and Sunday 2nd June and promises a line up bigger than ever before.

With a huge number of tickets sold already, fans will want to act quick to ensure they secure their place at this year’s Mighty Hoopla! Saturday tickets start from £79.50 + booking fee, Sunday tickets start from 69.50 + booking fee, and Weekend tickets start from £129.50 + booking fee.

In a UK festival exclusive, today Mighty Hoopla announces the inimitable Nelly Furtado as this year’s Saturday headliner. With a career spanning two decades and six studio albums – including the monumentally successful Whoa, Nelly!, Folklore, and Loose – she is poised for her Hoopla headline debut. Throughout her career, she has had an array of award nominations and wins from institutions such as BRIT Awards, Billboard Awards, Grammy Awards, and MTV Music Video Awards. To date, Nelly Furtado has had six solo top ten UK singles, four solo top ten USA singles, and multiple platinum selling albums. Fans can expect to hear festival anthems ‘Promiscuous’, ‘Maneater’, and ‘Say It Right’, as well as recent singles ‘Eat Your Man’ and ‘Keep Going Up’ when she takes the stage on Saturday night.

Having first played Mighty Hoopla in 2022 as its ‘Special Guest’, Jessie Ware now returns to headline the festival on Sunday night. Jessie Ware keeps going from strength to strength, with all five of her studio albums landing in the UK top 10 – including three breaking into the UK top 3 – Jessie Ware is one of the UK’s biggest artists. Her recent 2023 album That! Feels Good! received critical and commercial success, being nominated for the Mercury Prize (the second of her career) and becoming one of the best albums of the year. Fans can expect to hear huge hits ‘Say You Love Me’, ‘Wildest Moments’, and ‘Free Yourself’ at Mighty Hoopla next summer.

Speaking about Mighty Hoopla 2024, Sunday headliner Jessie Ware said: “I am so honoured to be headlining the Sunday at Mighty Hoopla. It’s such a special festival full of joy and fun and I guarantee I will give you that in abundance. Thank you so much. It’s an important festival. They know how to throw the best party. To be a headliner is a massive deal. I can’t wait to bring the fun, the joys, the pearls and a whole lot of dancing to Brockwell park. Thank you so much Mighty Hoopla”

Also announced today as a Mighty Hoopla Special Guest is Grammy Award-winning and chart-topping success Kim Petras, who in her relatively fledgling career has already gained huge success with her albums Feed The Beast and Problématique. She has also released the monumentally acclaimed single ‘Unholy’ with Sam Smith, which gained no.1 in several countries and won the Grammy Award in 2023 for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Joining her as a Special Guest is pop phenomenon Rita Ora, who over the years has been nominated and won a multitude of awards from institutions such as the BRIT Awards, MOBO Awards and MTV European Music Awards, to name a few. With three UK top 40 studio albums to date, Rita Ora has amassed an incredible 4 UK No. 1 Singles and 13 UK Top 10 Singles, making her one of the most successful British pop female soloists of all-time. Her performance at Mighty Hoopla 2024 will be a festival moment to remember, as fans can expect to hear anthems ‘Your Song’, ‘Anywhere’, ‘I Will Never Let You Down’, and her recent hit with Fatboy Slim, ‘Praising You’.

Elsewhere on the line up is S-Club 7 member turned solo pop household name Rachel Stevens, the critically acclaimed Alison Goldfrapp, and 90s pop hit-maker Louise who before turning solo was one-quarter of the R&B group Eternal. Also announced today is YouTube internet sensation turned hyper-pop prodigy Rebecca Black who earlier this year released her acclaimed debut album Let Her Burn, and fast-rising pop star Bellah Mae.

Returning to Mighty Hoopla once again is The Bump, which welcomes some of the world’s best DJs and live performers. With a completely redesigned stage for 2024, this year will see electronic underground icon Maya Jane Coles headline on Saturday, while globetrotting DJ and producer Eats Everything closes the stage Sunday. Festivalgoers can expect anthem-filled sets and electric live performances across the stage from the likes of Jodie Harsh, Gok Wan, Georgia, Gala, Amanda Lepor, Joshua James and more. The Sunday will also feature a very special stage takeover from Amsterdamn’s queer festival, Milkshake, who’s dancers and resident DJs will present The Bump.

As it does every year, Mighty Hoopla has a dedication to highlighting new and emerging talent as it seeks to spotlight the festival headliners of the future. A proud addition to 2024 is Queertopia, a specially crafted stage showcasing the best and up-and-coming names within the queer space. This year will see the likes of Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Kamille, alt-pop phenomenon Lynks, multi-Instrumentalist and producer Geo Jordan, in addition to Walt Disco, Nakhane, Karnage Kills, Buttmitzva, Bright Light Bright Light, Toya Delazy, and many more.

​​The plethora of names that will make Mighty Hoopla the hottest party of the summer don’t stop there as the 2024 edition of the festival also welcomes B*witched, Claire Richards, Countess Luann, En Vogue, Eve, Six The Musical, and V.

Pleasure Palace will once again spotlight some of the world’s best and diverse queer nightlife, cabaret and drag performers. This year the stage welcomes the likes of London’s premier video drag collective SlayStation, West End’s fabulous Kinky Kabaret, BIPOC and queer arts platform Pxssy Palace, drag king variety performers The Glory Presents Man Up!. Elsewhere on the stage are George Michael Disco, Britney Hour, Beef Mince, Swiftogeddon and more.
