News: Martha Wainwright Announces Winter UK Spree
1 min read(UK) The glorious Martha Wainwright crosses the Atlantic this autumn for eleven shows, including Queen Elizabeth Hall Thursday 27th November. Tickets are available now.
Playing solo at the beginning of the tour, Martha will be joined by her husband and bassist Brad Albetta for the majority of the November dates, which will see her dip into her extensive and exquisite back catalogue as well as preview new material from a new album due next year.
Martha released her last album ‘Come Home To Mama’ – produced by Cibo Matto’s Yuka C. Honda – in October 2012 to rounds of applause and critical acclaim. With beautiful and poignant standout track ‘Proserpina’ written by her late mother, Kate McGarrigle, guest musicians on the LP included Thomas Bartlett (Doveman) on keyboards, Martha’s husband Brad Albetta on bass, drummer Jim White (Dirty Three) and Nels Cline (Wilco).
