(AUS) Sony Music Entertainment Australia has announced it will release SHE’S SO UNUSUAL: REMiXED a digital EP from music icon Cyndi Lauper. SHE’S SO UNUSUAL: REMiXED sees Lauper’s legendary hits ‘Girls Just Want To Have Fun’ and ‘Time After Time’ remixed by some of today’s hottest DJs and producers. SHE’S SO UNUSUAL: REMiXED is available to purchase on iTunes today.

The SHE’S SO UNUSUAL: REMiXED EP showcases alternate versions of the eclectic remixes by NERVO, Bent Collective and Yolanda Be Cool first included as bonus tracks on SHE’S SO UNUSUAL: A 30TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION, Legacy’s newly remastered edition of Lauper’s groundbreaking 1984 debut album. The EP is further highlighted by a previously unreleased trio of additional remixes by such dance floor luminaries as Alex Gaudino & Jason Rooney, Lord Warddd and Anamanagucci. Released earlier this year in a variety of formats, SHE’S SO UNUSUAL: A 30TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION is available now.

A colourful portrait of a unique and multifaceted talent, SHE’S SO UNUSUAL instantly established Cyndi Lauper as a household name, making music history as the first debut album from a female artist to achieve four top 5 singles in ‘Girls Just Want To Have Fun’, ‘She Bop’, ‘All Through The Night’, and the worldwide #1 smash, ‘Time After Time’. In addition to global sales now in excess of 16 million, the critically acclaimed album earned Lauper such prestigious accolades as the GRAMMY Award for Best New Artist and an MTV Video Music Award for Best Female Video.

Since then, Lauper’s remarkable career has spanned myriad musical genres, from pop and rock to electronic dance music and traditional blues. One of the most inventive and compelling performers in pop history, Lauper is also among the most honoured, with a long list of awards and nominations that includes, among others, an Emmy, two GRAMMY Awards, two American Music Awards, and three MTV Video Music Awards. As if that weren’t enough, she has also proven a tireless activist, co-founding the True Colors Fund to raise awareness and advance the cause of equality for all.

Among her many recent accomplishments, Lauper won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Score and a 2014 GRAMMY Award for Best Musical Theatre Album, both for her smash hit Broadway show KINKY BOOTS, now playing on Broadway and touring the country.
