2 min read

(UK) Having wrapped up 2014 playing live with his friend, mentor and musical hero Sir Elton John, Bright Light Bright Light welcomes in 2015 with the release of a new EP ‘There Are No Miracles’ on January 26th. Bright Light Bright Light aka Rod Thomas spent much of last year touring the world with Sir Elton and the new EP features three tracks recorded in France, Russia and Switzerland.

The title track is taken from his acclaimed second album ‘Life Is Easy’ and is, says Rod “about seizing the moment and making your own luck by hard work. This is what Elton has taught me, and what the last year has been about. I hope the joy my band and I felt throughout this whole experience comes across on these exclusive live recordings.”

Following Sir Elton’s appearance on ‘Life Is Easy’ on the duet ‘I Wish We Were Leaving’, Bright Light Bright Light was invited to support him for a run of summer dates. So successful were the shows, Rod was personally invited to continue on for the remainder of the tour which culminated in a spectacular New Year’s Eve show together in New York. Following this, Rod plays two consecutive nights at the Mercury Lounge, New York on January 13th and 14th – showcasing both of his critically acclaimed albums, special club versions, and playing a set with his other band Slow Knights fronted by Scissor Sisters’ Del Marquis.

Track listing:
1. There Are No Miracles (Radio edit)
2. Feel It (Live at Lille Zénith)
3. Moves (Live at Zurich Hallenstadion)
4. More Than Most (Live at St Petersburg New Arena)
