Featured Artist: The Corrs (Part 2)

2 min read

Irish siblings and pop icons The Corrs are back this month with their first studio album in 10 years. The brand new studio collection, which is currently being teased through lead single Bring On The Night, is the bands first release since 2005’s Home and their first original collection since 2004’s Borrowed Heaven. It therefore should go without saying that after such a lengthy hiatus form the glimmering pop spotlight that expectations are riding pretty high on the foursome to deliver something fairly special with this release.

During the decade that The Corrs enjoyed international success they released 5 studio albums and from each came a handful of Irish-scented hits that ranged from the the uptempo such as Breathless, So Young and Summer Sunshine, through to some of the nineties and early noughties most treasured ballads with Long Night, Love to Love You, All The Love In The World and their signature hit, Runaway, pulling at the heartstrings and forming the pillar of the bands extensive and rich catalogue. The band made good use of their roots in celtic traditionals; adding an Irish flavour to each fo their hits and paying homage to their parents who were a fundamental inspiration to the Corrs’ sound.

November 27 sees in the release of new album White Light and this month we celebrate the work of The Corrs who we have named our Featured Artist.
