Album Review: Burns – European Sex Music
2 min read
With an impressive collection of remixes for the likes of The Gossip, Kano and Empire of the Sun garnishing his CV, European Sex Music is up and coming brit electronic artist Burns first record spanning 2CDs of electro-dance and underground house remixes.
At the age of 24 the remix guru has built a reputation around the energetic and noteworthy remixes for top acts such as Calvin Harris, Ladyhawke and Kasabian as well as producing tracks on the latest Kelis offering.
European Sex Music is a club collection of dirty club disco and beat heavy hardcore dance. As well as featuring some incredible remixes for his musical comrades (Gossips Heavy Cross and Empire of the Sun’s We Are The People are near jaw-dropping club hits) he also squeezes a good handful of his own numbers onto the record in preparation of his own debut album as an artist in his own right.
Though the collection is for lovers of fine dance music there is a lot to appreciate on this set. Its not limited by any means to alienating the average music fan due to the eclectic variety of the tracks remixed on the record. Saying this however it cant go without saying that the record is predominantly aimed at the club nation who will all find this one a must for their collection.
