Jimi Hendrix is considered the greatest electric guitarist is history. By the time of his death at the age of 27 he had built up an impressive catalogue that remains iconic and symbolic of a generation and is still as popular today as the days of Woodstock.
This week a new collection of Hendrix’s most exposed singles sees its release. Titled, Fire: The Jimi Hendrix Collection, the album features the timeless hits of not just an iconic musician but an influential artist who has inspired many of today’s artists.
The collection contains all the favourites of Hendrix’s career. Purple Haze, Hey Joe, All Along The Watchtower, Foxy Lady, Are You Experienced and Little Wing are all highlights here. As well as the well known Hendrix singles the album also features 4 bonus tracks taken from the posthumous album Valleys of Neptune which is making waves in the US charts.
These much sought after tracks feature the original The Jimi Hendrix Experience line up and were recorded in 1969.
