Single Review: Alexis Jordan – ‘Happiness’

2 min read

Alexis Jordan first came to the worlds attention when she appeared as a contestant on the first season of America’s Got Talent. Impressing the masses and gaining a few key fans in the process Alexis soon found herself signed to Sony by Hip Hop heavyweight, Jay Z.

AlexisJodanHappinessThe singer is now set to release her first single appropriately titled Happiness which is taken from her forthcoming debut record.

With a beat that would sound ideal in the most sweaty of London’s clubs, Happiness begins with a pulsating and slightly seducing rhythm that is soon accompanied by Jordan’s genuinely sweet vocals that could rival those of fellow RnB licked diva Rihanna.

Happiness has a very Eurodance feel to it with its production glossy yet never tacky. It’s a number that is instantly likeable from the first listen with its ‘Mmmm Mmmm’ hooks that replenish this pop number with vigour and a refreshing snap from the usual fodder of the pop world.

With her album being tweaked and touched up for release over the coming months, the South Carolina singer is a slice of infectious gloss minus that leaves a taste in your mouth waiting for more to come.
