Single Review: Stooshe – ‘Let It Go’

1 min read

The London based girl group Stooshe (pronounced ‘stooshie’) have released a new single Let It Go from their upcoming second album which is yet to be named.  Stooshe formed in May 2010 and is made up of the vocal talents of Courtney Rumbold, Alexandra Buggs and Karis Anderson. These girls have already accumulated a number of notable accolades for the music they have put out as Stooshe including a Brit Award nomination as well as touring with pop superstars, Jennifer Lopez and Nicki Minaj.

Stooshe - Let It Go Let It Go, produced by juNGLeboi and Dan Leary, is a fun summer hit that blends elements of Pop, R’nB, Hip-Hop and D’nB. The smooth soulful vocals of the trio flow calmly over the underlying rumbling rhythmic energy and the hook of the song drives the message home “Live for the moment, right now”. This song is an example of a pop track that reaches a broad audience; it’s not just for the tweens! Stooshe presents their image and music with a bit of edge, setting themselves apart from the many other sugary sweet girl groups that have come out of the UK over the last number of years.

Stooshe’s upcoming album is said to feature a host of musical talent and top secret collaborators. If Let It Go is a taste of what’s to come, it’s going to be worth the wait!
