News: MARINA, Anitta and Altego to support Kylie at BST Hyde Park

American Express presents BST Hyde Park is delighted to welcome music icon Kylie, headlining on Saturday 13 July. Today they can reveal the first special guests for this incredible show: powerful pop artist MARINA joins the BST Hyde Park line-up for a UK exclusive performance, plus Anitta, and ALTÉGO. Full line-up still to be announced. Tickets for this incomparable show are on sale now, available at www.bst-hydepark.com

MARINA is an award winning, multi-platinum selling artist. Revered since her breakthrough in 2009, she has since has since released five acclaimed albums including Electra Heart (2012), which debuted at Number 1 on the UK’s Official Charts, FROOT (2015), Love + Fear (2019), which debuted Top 5 in the UK and Top 10 on the U.S. Albums chart, and most recently Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land (2021), which featured the Ivor Novello nominated hit ‘Man’s World’. Each of Marina’s records have been accompanied by global sell-out headline tours with shows at some of the most prestigious venues around the world. MARINA is also set to be a published author, with her debut poetry book EAT THE WORLD: A COLLECTION OF POEMS out on 29 October.

Since breaking through in Brazil with her debut self-titled album, Anitta has become the leading artist of a new generation of Latin American music, as the biggest ever global female popstar to come from Brazil. In April 2019 she released Kisses, marking Anitta’s first trilingual album with songs in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. The record was nominated for Best Urban Album at the 2019 Latin GRAMMY Awards, with Anitta winning Best Female Artist at the Latin AMAs that same year. Versions of Me followed in 2022, including the single ‘Envolver’ which reached #1 spot on the Global Spotify 200 chart, making Anitta the first Brazilian artist to ever top that chart. The album was the first Brazilian pop album to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify, breaking the record for the biggest Spotify debut by a Brazilian artist in the platform’s history with over 9.1 million streams. Anitta released her latest record, Funk Generation, earlier this year.

ALTÉGO consists of UK-born twin brothers, DJ/production duo, Michael and Lukas Fernandes-Pense. The duo merge musical extremes together, striking a balance between dancefloor-ready energy, pop universality, R&B drip, and hip-hop swagger. This approach has transformed the pair into a global phenomenon – with north of 156+ million streams and 4 billion+ TikTok plays. The pair initially lit up TikTok with their mashup of Daddy Yankee and Lil Nas X, ‘Montero Gasolina’, but it was their track ‘Toxic Pony’ that blew up online in 2022, marrying ‘Toxic’ by Britney Spears and ‘Pony’ by Ginuiwine in a wild unholy matrimony. It eclipsed 130 million global streams and cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard R&B Chart. Now, the duo elevate again with tracks ‘Bling Bling’ and ‘Couldn’t Care Less’.

Kylie said: “I can’t wait to return to BST Hyde Park this summer. My last appearance at this iconic event was in 2015 and it was a truly unforgettable experience. So excited to see you all again!”

Kylie’s glittering career has seen her amass sales of over 80 million records worldwide, 5 billion streams, 7 UK No.1 singles and 9 UK No.1 albums. Kylie is the only female artist to score a No.1 album in 5 consecutive decades in the UK. Her multiple awards include 3 BRIT Awards, 18 ARIA Awards, 2 MTV Awards and 2 Grammy Awards. In September 2023, she released her No.1 album, Tension, which features the international smash hit single, ‘Padam Padam’, which earned Kylie her second Grammy Award in February for Best Pop Dance Recording.

In November 2023, Kylie kicked off her first ever US residency in Las Vegas at Voltaire – The Venetian Resort’s new nightlife sensation. She completed the sell-out run in May 2024 where she performed tracks from her latest album, Tension, alongside many of her greatest hits.
