Originally released on October 3, 1995, via Columbia Records, Daydream stands as one of the most commercially successful and critically celebrated albums. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and went on to produce multiple global hits. “Fantasy” made history as the first song by a female artist to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, while “One Sweet Day” — Mariah Carey’s collaboration with Boyz II Men — also debuted at #1 Billboard Hot 100 and went on to spend a record-breaking 16 consecutive weeks atop the charts, and “Always Be My Baby” also peaked at #1 on the Billboard charts. Daydream has sold more than 27 million copies worldwide.
The anniversary release debuts a never-before-seen “Making of Fantasy” featurette — an intimate behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the music video for one of the best-selling singles of all time, which Mariah Carey directed herself. The video captures the making of the iconic “Fantasy” music video offering fans a rare and personal window into a defining moment in pop music history. Watch “Making of Fantasy” HERE
