News: Lynyrd Skynyrd to be honoured in a one-night-only concert

(U.S) Lynard Skynyrd’s renowned musical legacy will be honoured in a one-night only concert event on November 12.

An extraordinary collection of music artists will come together for One More For The Fans! Celebrating The Songs & Music of Lynyrd Skynyrd, a special concert event honouring one of the most influential bands of our time.

The concert will take place at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia and will feature star-studded collaborations by esteemed artists paying tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s music including Trace Adkins, Alabama, Gregg Allman, Charlie Daniels, Peter Frampton, Warren Haynes, John Hiatt, Jason Isbell, Jamey Johnson, Aaron Lewis, moe., Govt Mule, Robert Randolph, Blackberry Smoke, Cheap Trick and Donnie Van Zant. Additional performers and surprise guests will be announced in the coming weeks.

As part of the campaign to save the Fox Theatre from demolition, Lynyrd Skynyrd recorded their 1976 live album, One More From The Road, at the landmark theatre. The concert title One More For The Fans! Celebrating The Songs & Music of Lynyrd Skynyrd, was inspired by that legendary album’s title.

The legacy of Lynyrd Skynyrd began more than 41 years ago in Jacksonville, Florida. The American rock band is known for their “southern hard-rock” sound during the 1970s. The band has been included on Rolling Stone magazine’s and VH1’s lists of ‘100 Greatest Artists of All Time.’

With a catalog of over 60 albums and sales beyond 30 million worldwide, Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Lynyrd Skynyrd  remains a cultural icon that appeals to all generations.

Tickets for the show will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 18. Tickets will also be available at the Fox Theatre box office, 660 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta, GA 30308. Ticket office hours are Monday to Friday 10am-6 pm; Saturday 10am-3 p.m.

The event will be filmed and recorded for multi-platform distribution.
