(AUS) Round Up by arrangement with Live Nation and Artist Voice have announced the debut Australian tour for one of Americana’s newest rising stars, Luke Winslow King.
Touring with his singing partner and wife Esther Rose, Luke Winslow King will visit Australia for the first time performing one headline show in Melbourne at Brunswick’s Spotted Mallard on Monday April 6, and also supporting Pokey LaFarge on his five-date tour across NSW and VIC.
An accomplished guitarist, singer, composer and lyricist known for his slide guitar work, Luke Winslow King’s sound is an eclectic mix of New Orleans’ rich and colourful culture, blended with the sounds of delta-folk music, classical composition, ragtime and rock and roll.
Following the release of his critically acclaimed Bloodshot Records debut “The Coming Tide” in 2013, the resultant success landed Luke Winslow King performing in front of large audiences, and sharing the stage with the likes of Jack White, Pokey Lafarge, Taj Mahal, Chris Thile, and Rebirth Brass Band.
His fourth full-length album – and second release for Bloodshot in as many years – ‘Everlasting Arms’ has seen Luke Winslow King & Co. build on their previous creative efforts, perfectly balancing tradition with the modern and showcasing Southern charm at its best across the 14 outstanding tracks on this latest release.
