News: Legendary British Rock Outfit Supertramp Announce Tour

1 min read

(UK) Legendary British rock band Supertramp will be returning to London this Winter as they play the O2 Arena on December 7th as part of their Supertramp Forever Tour.

Having sold over 60 million records, Supertramp are without a doubt rock royalty. Their first European dates in over five years, which take in 26 arenas in France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg and the UK, stand testament to this band’s enduring appeal.

Joining Supertramp’s founder, lead singer and keyboardist, Rick Davies, are legendary Supertramp members John Anthony Helliwell, saxophones and woodwinds, and Bob Siebenberg, drums. Veterans of past Supertramp tours, Jesse Siebenberg, lead vocals, guitars and percussion, Cliff Hugo, bass, Carl Verheyen, guitars, Lee Thornburg, horns, Gabe Dixon, vocals and keyboards, and Cassie Miller, background vocals, will once again round out the lineup.

The Supertramp Forever Tour will also feature the much-heralded return of Mark Hart, vocals, guitars and keyboards, to the Supertramp lineup.

Rick Davies, along with set and lighting designer, Michael Brian Duncan, is planning a new stage production that will provide the audience with a total audio and visual Supertramp experience. The show promises to be a historic evening featuring classic album tracks, long forgotten gems and many of their hits including Bloody Well Right, Dreamer, From Now On, Goodbye Stranger, The Logical Song, Rudy and many, many more.

  1. It is just not the same – Supertramp without songwriter/cofounder Roger Hodgson = not Supertramp! Roger wrote many of the greatest hits and faves (, , , , , , , and on..) Current band lineup consists of 10 people, the dynamics of the band are entirely different. Personally I feel because Roger wrote and sang many of the songs we all grew up with, it is more true and genuine to the original sound to see Roger perform them himself. I was completely bowled over by Roger’s last concert at the Albert Hall, looking forward to seeing him return in Apr 2016 – for now, I have tix to see him in Oxfordshire this summer in July !!

  2. No one can sing Roger Hodgson’s songs like Roger and pity those who try. Why see an imitation when you can see the original? Roger, voice and co-founder of Supertramp, will be at Cornbury on July 12 and Albert Hall April 29, 2016. I’ve booked my tickets for both shows and can’t wait. It is Roger who gave us Supertramp’s greatest hits to include The Logical Song, Dreamer, Breakfast in America, Take the Long Way Home, Give a Little Bit, Fool’s Overture, It’s Raining Again, School, and so many more.
