Grammy award-winning soul sensation Joss Stone is set to release her new single, “Loving You,” an original song co-written by Stone and acclaimed engineer/producer and long time collaborator Steve Greenwell. The track is her first solo single in 2 years and will be available worldwide on August 9, 2024, via Stoned Records.

Stone reflects on the inspiration behind “Loving You”: “This was a song I wrote when [my husband] Cody and I had just started dating. I thought our nights round the fire were magical and wanted to write a song about those evenings that are so enjoyable they can run into the next day without anyone noticing. I am a night owl by nature and he is an early bird so I am often trying to convince him to stay up till the early hours of the morning with me. The song talks about coming up with things to say to make him stay. Funny thing is Cody did stay, he just fell asleep! So I went upstairs and wrote this song”. Stone says: “There’s something truly magical about those early days of falling in love. I wanted to capture that feeling where every word and glance is filled with sweetness.”
This single gives fans the chance to hear a brand new track from Stone while they await the next studio album from her, due out next year.
