News: Erasure Announce ‘Snow Globe Deluxe Nutcracker Edition’

2 min read

(UK) ERASURE (Andy Bell and Vince Clarke) have announced the deluxe digital edition of their incredible 2013 album, Snow Globe, a collection of original compositions and seasonal classics. Out on 1 December 2014, the Nutcracker Edition features the original album alongside 16 bonus tracks and videos for both singles: Make It Wonderful and Erasure’s take on the traditional Latin carol, Gaudete. The package features three previously unreleased tracks, including Knocking Ghost’s remix of Loving Man. In addition, an acoustic version of the single Make It Wonderful is available to stream and share now.

Produced by Erasure and Gareth Jones with additional production by Richard X, Snow Globe, unlike the bells and whistles, glitter and tinsel sets that crowd the market come Christmas-time, Snow Globe is possessed of something more in the wistfully, strangely subdued celebratory mould of recent seasonal albums by Tracey Thorn and Kate Bush. Watch the videos for Gaudete and Make It Wonderful now.

Erasure, currently on tour through the UK and Europe, recently released their sixteenth studio album, The Violet Flame. The Violet Flame Tour follows their acclaimed US tour, and the UK leg includes two London shows at the Forum on 14 & 15 December. Parralox will support on the 15 November, support on first night comes from Iris Gold. The year will then end with two shows at New York’s Terminal 5 on 30 and 31 December. Tickets are on sale now.
