News: British Duo Lamb Announce Australian Tour

(AUS) After a five year absence, British duo Lamb make their long-awaited return to Australia for a five-date national tour this summer. Tickets for all shows go on sale at midday Friday October 17.
The tour announcement comes ahead of Lamb – Lou Rhodes and Andy Barlow – delivering their sixth album, ‘Backspace Unwind’, next week. The album features ten fresh tracks written by the duo including the single dropped earlier this week, ‘We Fall in Love’.
First forming in Manchester in 1995, Lamb’s 1996 self-titled genre-bending debut album delivered intensely personal, emotionally charged songs intertwined with startling drum n bass beats in in a collision of jazz, classical, blues, techno & hip hop that defined an era of trip hop.
Singles ‘Gold’, ‘God Bless’, ‘Cotton Wool’ and ‘Górecki’ have been critical and commercial successes. In particular, ‘Górecki’ – inspired by the works of composer Henryk Mikołaj Górecki – has become one of the most recognized anthems of electronic music, attracting numerous remixes, covers, TV commercials and movie soundtracks (Basquiat, Moulin Rouge and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer to name some of the more prominent).
Since their Australian debut tour, Lamb has drawn rave reviews from thrilled audiences and critics alike for their sold-out headline and festival performances. They wowed fans as part of 2003’s iconic Livid Festival and headlined Sydney’s much-loved Peats Ridge Festival in 2009. 2011 saw Lamb back on our shores to headline the Playground Weekender Festival on the Hawkesbury River, as well as selling out numerous sideshows along the way.
