Interview: Georgia
2 min read
This years mammoth Mighty Hoopla is just days away and boasts one of THE greatest line-ups for pop loving festival fans of any festival in the world. Previous years have seen the likes of Cheryl, Steps, Sugababes, Kelly Rowland and many, many more grace the stages in Brockwell Park and this year is no different with Nelly Furtado, Claire Richards, B*witched, Bananarama and En Vogue.
Joining that stellar line-up is one of our very favourite artists of the last ten years – Georgia. Thanks to songs like Started Out and the Berlin-esque pop anthem, About Work The Dancefloor, both taken form the Mercury Prize nominated album, Seeking Thrills, Georgia has been steadily making a solid name for herself with her brand of sturdy synth-pop. Fresh from releasing her latest release in 2023, Euphoric, the singer was announced as a performer on this years Mighty Hoopla line-up and we were bursting at the seams by the news and even more excited to lock in some time for a super fun and casual chat with Georgia to talk about the festival slot, her career to date and the impact of the LGBT community on her journey. Here is what she had to tell us….
Saturday’s line up of Mighty Hoopla has sold out but there are still a few remaining Sunday and Weekend bundles available HERE.
