Featured Artist: Gwen Stefani (Part 2)

2 min read

With a hefty wait for new material coming to a quick close, Gwen Stefani fans have a lot to be excited about. This Is What The Truth Feels Like is mere days from its release, and constant teasers and singles from Stefani herself have positively doubled the excitement of fans everywhere; with the love and attention she’s been receiving, you almost wouldn’t believe it had been ten years since The Sweet Escape.

The new material on offer so far has been nothing short of stellar, from the heart wrenching synthpop of Used To Love You to the modern disco style of Make Me Like You. Rather than channelling her younger days, Stefani is presenting a more mature, accessible version of herself, referencing the heartbreak and the love she’s found in the past ten years and turning it into pop gold. With her latest single Misery, imploring her lover to “put her out of her misery”, continuing the streak and offering another stellar mid-tempo, there’s no doubt that Gwen is aiming to elicit every possible emotion from listeners: love, heartbreak and absolute joy—emotions only amplified by the release of a third album we never expected to hear.

With March 18 marking the release of This Is What The Truth Feels Like, we’re celebrating the work of our Featured Artist Gwen Stefani. Check out five of her best songs below to get yourself excited for the album, or introduce yourself to one of pop’s most exciting icons.
