News: Status Quo Announce ‘Accept No Substitute’ Tour

(UK) Live Nation has announced that Britain’s best-loved rockers, Status Quo, will undertake the 11 date ‘Accept No Substitute’ UK Winter tour in November / December 2015. The tour will go on general sale at 0900 on Friday, May 8th with the exclusive Fan Club pre-sale will commence on Tuesday, May 5th. Click here for more info.
This tour will see the band returning to their fully electric set up after the huge success of the ‘Aquostic (Stripped Bare)’ and ‘Aquostic! Live At The Roundhouse’ albums [the former just passed 150K sales] and tour. Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt, Andy Bown, John ‘Rhino’ Edwards and Leon Cave will plug back in and bring their thunderous electric live show back to the nation’s venues. Packed with hits, both new and old, taken from that unbelievable back catalogue, this is a series of dates not to be missed; not least as support at all the December shows will come from Wilko Johnson.
Francis Rossi said, “We’ve had such a blast with the ‘Aquostic’ style, but for this tour we are going back to the sound that defines us. I read in the paper that we were breaking up; but we’re not finished yet I can tell you!” Rick Parfitt added, “I guess the name of the tour speaks for itself, but this is full-throttle no-nonsense Status Quo”.
