Featured Artist: Jewel (Part 2)

2015 is a particularly important year for Alaska singer-songwriter, Jewel. As we not only get closer to the upcoming, highly-anticipated release of her twelfth studio album, Picking Up the Pieces, this year the musician also celebrates the 20th Anniversary of her most successful record – her debut 1995 collection, Pieces of You.

Pieces Of You catapulted Jewel into the pop stratosphere and onto the international stage thanks to a string of hit singles that the release unfurled onto an audience that couldn’t get enough of the singers syrupy, versatile and innocent vocals along with her effortlessly poetic approach to songwriting. Over the course of the last 20 years Jewel has released a dozen records and numerous singles so to name a favourite is a pretty hard task but we were brave so we gave it a go.

As we celebrate the release of Picking Up The Pieces which lands next month, we thought it only appropriate to look back at the career of Jewel – Renowned For Sound’s Featured Artist and today we look back at the musician’s most successful and timeless hits. Join us as we countdown our personal 5 favourite hits from the extensive Jewel catalogue….
