News: Rixton Detail Debut Album ‘Let The Road’

2 min read

Manchester four-piece Rixton have announced that their eagerly awaited debut album, Let The Road, will be released on January 6th in the US and March 2nd in the UK. The album features songs co-written by the band and their producer Benny Blanco (Katy Perry, Maroon 5), as well as one song written by Ed Sheeran.

Let The Road is available for D2C pre-order and at all digital partners now with fans receiving two of the album tracks immediately – the no.1 single ‘Me & My Broken Heart’ and the un-released ‘Appreciated’.

Rixton Let The RoadThe ten-track album showcases just why Rixton have made such a huge impact on both sides of the Atlantic this year with their sophisticated take on modern pop. Starting with the close-harmony acapella of the title track, ‘Let The Road’ then explodes into action with ‘Wait On Me’ before the soaringly beautiful ‘Appreciated’ and epic rock of ‘Beautiful Excuses’, led by Charley Bagnell’s emotive lead guitar and Danny Wilkin’s piano, expands Rixton’s sonic template further.

Later this month Rixton will perform at the Radio 1 Teen Awards before setting out on their biggest-ever UK headline tour on October 22nd, playing 13 cities around the country.

For those in the US, Rixton will be hosting a special performance tomorrow, 10/8 at Santa Monica Place @ 7pm. The show is free and fans can pre-order Let The Road to meet the band and receive an exclusive signed item at the performance.
