1 min read

Festival favourite, House DJ and all round party-starter Duke Dumont has recently dropped his 7th EP for every raver’s grooving pleasure. Blasé Boys Club Pt. 1 is an electric dream full of vibrating beats to get you moving and lyrics to warble along too.

Duke Dumont - Blasé Boys Club Pt. 1Opening with the new single Ocean Drive, a sexy pop tune with that infectious chorus – “Don’t say a word while we dance with the devil, You brought a fire to a world so cold” that you cant help but sing along too, which features a pulsing melody that Dumont does so well. Cruising along the EP you’re treated to Robert Talks, a funky 8-minute disco inspired tune that features spoken word verses from iconic house vocalist Robert Owens. Next up is another new one, Melt an atmospheric track full of soulful vocals crooning a tale of a yearning romance, with lyrics “so close, I melt into you” set to a smooth house groove. To close out the EP Dumont leaves with his 2014 EDM sensation Won’t Look Back.

While Blasé Boys Club Pt. 1 is only a 4 track EP, it’s definitely a case of quality over quantity. Featuring Dumont’s smash hits Ocean Drive and Won’t Look Back with the addition of two new tracks, each with their own unique style of electronica it’s an extended play that makes you hit the replay button and crave a Pt. 2.
