Busby Marou announce new single ‘Get You Out Of Here’ (AUS)

Gifted storytelling, soaring harmonies and plenty of charm: two years ago Rockhampton/Brisbane duo Busby Marou won the hearts of fans nationwide with their self-titled debut. Now Footstomp Music and Warner Music Australia are thrilled to announce the release of Get You Out Of Here – the brand new single from the band’s highly anticipated second album, Farewell Fitzroy due for release on Friday 4 October.
Tom Busby and Jeremy Marou recorded Get You Out Of Here with US producer/engineer Brad Jones (Missy Higgins, Josh Rouse, Justin Townes Earle), at Nashville’s Alex The Great studios. Get You Out Of Here is a soulful taste of what fans can expect from the diverse outfit’s upcoming record.
“I love playing this,” says frontman Tom Busby of the new song. “It’s about long distance relationships, the battles and hurdles involved. I spent an incredible week with Jeremy in Byron Bay, writing songs and being isolated from everything. I said to my girlfriend afterwards that being away from the outside world, you can’t help but get this feeling of, ‘I want to stay here’. It’s about looking forward to the time when I can get both of us out of our situation; get us both forward to where we want to be.”
