Single Review: Plan B – ‘The Recluse’

2 min read

Plan B has been riding high on the charts since the release of  his latest album, The Defamation of Stickland Banks, transformed the underground rapper to a member of the UK’s hip hop elite. So far the album has generated an almost greatest hits intro with Stay Too Long, She Said and the incredible last single, Prayin’, all helping the rapper find his way into the hearts of UK music lovers and win over critics with a helping of some impeccably produced and written hip hop, pop numbers.

PlanBTheRecluse2010 has so far seen the obscure rapper morph into one of the countries most prestigious breakthrough acts with the record that has been hailed as one of the greatest of its genre to be released over the past few years.

Now it’s time for the latest in the albums offspring, The Recluse, which sees its release on Monday.

The Recluse is an epic number that combines Plan B’s effortless and articulated rap talents with an envious orchestral string arrangement that is almost haunting whilst confidently backing up Plan B’s soulful vocal delivery.

The Recluse will no doubt be another cracker of a single for Plan B and the next in line of Plan B singles to top the charts in the coming weeks. It’s another strong single for the musician who has turned the music industry on its head over the past few months as he evolves into one of hip hop’s latest in crossover success stories.
