Adam Topol has emerged with his uplifting brand of folky singer/songwriter summery-ness – releasing his debut single The Captain. Having spent years on the road behind the drum kit for legendary artists like Ziggy Marley, Eddie Vedder, Jack Johnson, and others, Adam Topol is now focusing on his own music in the form of a full length album, entitled Regardless of the Dark, out on 7/22 via Everloving Records (Metric, The Growlers, Ben Harper).
Topol describes his debut single The Captain as a ‘high tide sea shanty’ in a recent interview with Relix Magazine, which is certainly an accurate description. The uplifting production and acoustic guitars make for the perfect summer vibes – almost as though you’re slowly sipping a bourbon while watching the waves crash onto the shore.
