News: Ty Dolla $ign Announces Debut Aussie Tour

(AUS) One of the hottest artists in the US, Ty Dolla $ign, is set to tour Australia & New Zealand for the first time later this month. The singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist, who’s breakout single “Paranoid” from the Beach House EP continues to be played in clubs and on radio across the globe, has collaborated with some of the world’s biggest artists including label-mate Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, Trey Songz, YG, French Montana and Jeremih.
Ty Dolla $ign is also an accomplished songwriter, having written some of the biggest club anthems of the last few years including “Toot It & Boot It” by YG, and “Loyal” by Chris Brown. Adding to his growing resume, Ty recently returned from studio time with Kanye West where he lay down vocals for Kanye and Paul McCartney’s recent collaboration “Only One”.
Music is in his blood: his father was a member of 70’s funk band Lakeside, who had a huge worldwide hit with “Fantastic Voyage”, and his uncle played with The Isley Brothers.
His early memories include meeting Earth, Wind & Fire and Rick James, his inspirations go way deeper than just R&B though. Ella Fitzgerald, 2Pac, Prince, Michael Jackson and Nirvana are as important to his conception of sound as Mint Condition and Brian McKnight.
Ty’s latest single “Stand For” produced by Diplo is available now. His long awaited debut album “Free TC” is slated for release this year.
