News: Train To Return To Australia For 2015 Shows

2 min read

(AUS) Three-time Grammy award winners and perpetual hit makers, TRAIN, are returning to Australia in April 2015 as part of a world tour in support of their seventh studio album, Bulletproof Picasso.

The San Francisco-based group have been responsible for some of the most successful and loved pop smash hits of the past two decades, including “Drops of Jupiter”, “Meet Virginia”, “Calling All Angels” and mega hit “Hey Soul Sister”.

Already appearing as a headliner at the 2015 East Coast Blues Festival, Train will now perform two intimate theatre shows, in Sydney and Melbourne.

Tickets for both shows go on sale at 10am this Monday, October 13.

My Live Nation members can be amongst the first to secure tickets during the pre-sale beginning 10am tomorrow, October 10. For complete tour and ticketing details, visit: www.livenation.com.au

Formed in San Francisco in 1994, Train have won three Grammy awards, two Billboard Music Awards, and sold more than ten million albums worldwide and more than 30 million tracks. Founding member and lead singer, Pat Monahan, has been responsible for crafting songs that have elevated pop radio; fronting a band with a 20-year arsenal of enigmatic, signature tunes.

In 2001, Train was awarded Best Rock Song and Best Arrangement Grammies for smash hit “Drops of Jupiter” – which remained in the US Top 40 for nearly 40 weeks. In 2011, the group won another Grammy for global hit “Hey Soul Sister”, taking No. 1 spot in the ARIA charts for a month and becoming the most downloaded single of 2010.

Next year – along with their incredible back catalogue – Train will present their latest creative offering live for fans in Sydney and Melbourne, Bulletproof Picasso.

This recent release saw Pat reunite with producer/writer Butch Walker (P!NK, Fall Out Boy, Taylor Swift, Weezer) and engineer Jake Sinclair (P!NK, 5 Seconds of Summer, Panic! at the Disco).

Touring the four corners of the globe over the past 20 years, Train are a great live band, exemplified when they rocked the 2014 NRL Grand Final in Sydney, playing to a record crowd of almost 84,000.
