News: Tom Jones Announces Exclusive Show at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre

(AUS) Multi-million selling singer and legendary artist Tom Jones has announced that he is coming to Melbourne for an exclusive show at the Forum Theatre on Wednesday 24th September, ahead of his AFL Grand Final appearance. The Welsh born superstar will be presenting a selection of songs that include iconic hits as well as tracks from his critically acclaimed albums ‘Spirit In The Room’ and Praise & Blame’.
Tom’s career has gone from strength to strength, with his popularity and growth as a live performer and recording artist sustained for half a century. Although he is well known for hits including It’s Not Unusual, Kiss, Delilah and If I Only Knew, he is first and foremost a rocker with a true rhythm and blues soul.
Opening this special evening will be local songstress Lanie Lane who releases her new album, Night Shade, on 24 October through Ivy League. Tickets go on sale Friday 19th September 10am local time. For more details click here.
Jones will be performing pre-game at the 2014 AFL Grand Final on Saturday 27th September at the MCG. Along with Ed Sheeran, Jones will also perform in a special post game celebration that is free for anybody to attend – even those that don’t hold Grand Final tickets. Entry is via Gates 4, 5 & 6 from 6pm.
