2 min read

(US) Still enjoying the fruits of his international chart-topper “Adiós,” Ricky Martin now prepares the January 12 world radio premiere of his single “Disparo al Corazón” (Shot to the Heart). It’s the second single from his highly anticipated album A Quién Quiera Escuchar (To Whomever Wants to Listen). The tenth studio album of his career, it’s scheduled to be released on February 10. Meanwhile, “Disparo al Corazón” will be available for download from all major digital outlets on January 13.

“Disparo al Corazón” is a ballad that follows in the grand tradition of his timeless standards such as “Vuelve,” “Tal Vez” and “Fuego de Noche,” among others. It’s co-written by Ricky Martin alongside Yoel Henríquez, Pedro Capó and Rafael Esparza Ruíz, and features production by the multiple Latin GRAMMY® winner Julio Reyes.

Over three decades into his career, Ricky Martin has more momentum than ever. Last year, he started things off by appearing on Wisin’s mega-hit “Adrenalina” alongside Jennifer Lopez, which has racked up over 250 million views on VEVO so far.

He continued his amazing 2014 with his World Cup song “Vida,” which was selected for him to record via a songwriting contest. It hit No. 1 on 17 major charts around the world including Chinese rankings such as the China Music Weekly Chart, China Popular Music Weekly Single Chart, FM 101.6 Trend Weekly Single, and Fashion Music Weekly Single Chart – an unprecedented achievement for a foreign artist.

Ricky Martin A Quien Quiera EscucharAfter serving as a coach on The Voice Australia, Ricky Martin returned to his native Puerto Rico to perform humanitarian work, as he opened the Centro Tau, a facility that serves at-risk children in Las Cuevas, Loíza. From L.A. to Viña del Mar, Chile; from Morocco to Macau; and from Austria to Australia, Ricky Martin performed on all six inhabited continents in 2014, and 2015 will bring even bigger triumphs.
