News: Kiesza To Tour With Upcoming Album ‘Sound Of A Woman’

2 min read

(UK) Following the release of her new single, No Enemiesz (out now) and the imminent release of her debut album ‘Sound Of A Woman’, Kiesza today announced her biggest UK tour to date, in March 2015.

Riding high off the success of her recent European tour, including her knockout performance at this years EMA’s, Kiesza took her standout, dance-fuelled show to 6 cities including Amsterdam and Berlin, before culminating in an electrifying sold out headline show at London’s Electric, Brixton.

Now on the cusp of releasing her debut LP and firmly setting her sights on continuing her domination of the UK music scene, Kiesza will return to the UK in March 2015 for a six date UK-wide tour starting in Manchester, and hitting Leeds, Glasgow, Birmingham and Nottingham with a headline show at London’s, O2 Shepherds Bush Empire.

2014 has been an undeniably incredible year for the 25-year-old Canadian, whose chart topping debut no. 1 single ‘Hideaway’ has amassed over 157 million plays on YouTube and gained fans by way of none other than Madonna, who recently posted an Instagram of her dancing to the global smash hit, quoting “Another reason to wake up smiling!”

Kiesza’s debut album Sound Of A Woman is an ode to love, a missive to heartbreak as well as a dedication to the dance floor. Inspired by New York dance clubs of the ‘90s as well as current UK club culture. As a multi-faceted musician, Kiesza experiments with sonic structure and genre patterns; Hip Hop, R&B, UKG and Breakbeat all permeate the record, while some of its key moments come in the form of spine-tingling ballads, the perfect backdrop to underline Kiesza’s incredible vocal.
