2 min read

(AUS) Sam Smith’s Australian arena tour is shaping up to be one of the biggest of the summer with both Sydney shows already completely sold out! Adding to the anticipation, it was announced that Smith will be joined once again on tour by Australia’s very own Emma Louise.

Smith will be performing tracks from his global smash debut In The Lonely Hour which is fast approaching a 4x platinum certification in Australia while single ‘Stay With Me’ is nearing 5x platinum.

In a year already marked by achievements and breaking records, Sam Smith announced earlier this week that he has recorded the new Bond theme song with fellow Grammy winner Jimmy Napes. Featured in the forthcoming film Spectre, the track ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ is slated for release on September 25.

Brisbane’s fearless indie-darling Emma Louise will be sharing the stage with Sam Smith for a second time this year, following her appearance as Sam’s special guest on his tour of Australia and New Zealand earlier this year.

Her acclaimed debut release Vs Head Vs Heart and its lead single ‘Jungle’ received huge support in Europe; going double platinum in Italy, reaching #2 in France, hitting the top 5 in the UK and featuring in an international TV sync for Yves Saint Laurent’s ‘Black Opium’ perfume campaign.

Following on from the success of her debut, ‘Two Bodies’ – her collaboration with Flight Facilities – was a huge alternative hit worldwide and featured in this year’s triple j Hottest 100. Emma performed the song live for the very first time at Byron Bay’s Splendour In The Grass festival and described by Blank GC as one of ‘the country’s most recognisable female voices.’

Lucky ticketholders to Sam Smith’s tour later this year will be amongst the first to hear tracks from Emma Louise’s forthcoming sophomore release as well as much loved favourites from her impressive career.
