News: Coasts Announce Debut Album

2 min read

Named Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1, Coasts announced their self-titled debut album will be available in the U.S. November 6th. Pre-order Coasts HERE and instantly receive their unreleased homage to Bristol “Wash Away” plus the anthemic track “A Rush of Blood,” “Stay,” which was partially written during the band’s first rehearsal session; the Tinder-inspired “Modern Love,” and their #1 HypeM charting single “Oceans.”

With an album date set, Coasts are coming back to the U.S. for a soon to be announced fall tour. To prepare, the band is teaming up with fellow alternative duo Broods August 9 in Anaheim, CA then headlining The Roxy in Los Angeles August 10 before jet-setting up the West Coast to San Francisco on August 14. To add to Coasts’ enviable list of accomplishments, AV Club hails “If you had genetically engineered a rock band to be the ultimate arena-ready ensemble, you couldn’t get closer to the ideal type than Coasts. The band cannily melds anthemic mid-’90s alt-rock with the bombast of U2, but set to the pulsing beats of a New Order-meets-Britpop rhythm” on top of a rapturous reception at a packed tent in Coachella and T in the Park, a series of London shows which expand in size every time that they return, extensive BBC Radio 1 and XFM support, playing to thousands of fans in Europe and the U.S. including a sold out national tour with Bad Suns, plus their upcoming festival dates including Reading / Leeds.

Produced by Mike Spencer (Rudimental), Mark Crew (Bastille), Elliot James (Two Door Cinema Club), Fraser T. Smith (Adele, Sam Smith), Duncan Mills (Jake Bugg) and James Rushent of Does It Offend You, Yeah?, the album is an anthemic collection of towering hooks, huge summer grooves and emotive lyrics which are infused with a visceral energy inspired by their shared love of dance music.
