2 min read

(UK) It was November 5th, 1984 when A&M Records released Bryan Adams’ RECKLESS. Now 30 years later, Universal Music announced the re-release of this multi-platinum record with an additional seven never-before-heard tracks. Regarded as one of the greatest rock albums of the 80s and one of the most defining moments in Adams’ career, RECKLESS will be released on November 10th, 2014 and is available for pre-order here

Bryan Adams RecklessReleased three decades ago – on Adams’ 25th birthday – the 10-track record, spawned six ground-breaking hit singles, “Run To You”, “Somebody”, “Heaven”, “Summer of 69″,”One Night Love Affair” and “It’s Only Love”, the duet with the iconic Tina Turner.

In addition to the original 10 tracks the re-release of RECKLESS (personally overseen by Bryan working with many of the original team including Bob Clearmountain, Bob Ludwig and Jim Vallance) includes seven previously unreleased bonus tracks. These tracks were written as demos with Jim Vallance – the co-writer on the RECKLESS album. Of utmost interest to fans will be the actual inclusion of the track “Reckless” which due to deadlines did not make it onto the original album. The deluxe edition also includes the landmark 1985 live gig at the Hammersmith Odeon.

RECKLESS was the album that catapulted Adams’ career onto the international stage, becoming a multi-million selling disc in the U.K., Netherlands, Australia, the U.S., Germany and of course his home country of Canada. From the opening act to headliner, Top 20 to #1, the album was the tipping point in Adams’ career.

The album launch also coincides with Bryan Adams ‘European Reckless’ headline arena tour. In what is looking to be a busy year for Adams, his new album ‘Tracks of My Years’ will also be released October 6th. For more information about ‘Reckless’, the tour or ‘Tracks of My Years’ click here.
