News: Broods Announce 2015 North American Headline Tour

2 min read

(US) Caleb Nott and Georgia Nott, the highly celebrated brother and sister who comprise the band Broods, have soared to musical fame in North America through what Entertainment Weekly called ‘uncluttered songwriting and haunting knack for synth-propped melody’.

Having just completed a sold-out US tour supporting UK soul artist Sam Smith, a massive sold-out show at the El Rey theatre in Los Angeles, and a stint down at Austin City Limits, the New Zealand duo are headed back to the states with US dates beginning in March.

Fader called their October 7 Capitol Records debut album, ‘Evergreen’, ‘Elegant Pop’, while Billboard states their sparse arrangements which (go) down easy while hinting at the heights this young act could eventually achieve”. The album was produced in New Zealand by Grammy-award winning producer Joel Little (Lorde, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding, Elliphant). ‘Evergreen’ achieved the second highest debut on the CMJ charts week of release.

The band performed and was nominated three times at this year’s Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards: Where they took home the award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Broods have garnered more than 35 million Spotify streams worldwide, on Spotify, and were praised by Buzzfeed and Entertainment Weekly as the most underrated artists of 2014 respectively.

“Evergreen” is available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Spotify and in record stores nationwide. Tour dates are as follows:
